Body Dysmorphia

Understanding The Truth About Body Dysmorphia

body dysmorphia

Body Dysmorphia (also known as Body Dysmorphic Disorder & BDD) is an obsessive compulsive disorder where the sufferer obsesses over a particular part of their body. Recovery from body dysmorphia is relatively straight forward provided the correct approach is used. Unfortunately medication, counselling and willpower seem to have little effect - so specialised help is required.

If you've had enough of body dysmorphia and are ready to recover, the information on this website will prove invaluable. We pioneer our own technology so what you read here will not be a re-hash of what you're used to reading about body dysmorphia elsewhere. Perhaps for the first time in your life (if you're willing to take the time to read the information) you'll understand what's really going on with body dysmorphia and what you can do about it!

For specific information on where body dysmorphia comes from, how body dysmorphia works, where the obsessive thoughts come from, understanding the compulsive behaviour, understanding how your emotions work and most importantly how to recover from body dysmorphia - you should look at our BDD page now.

If you are not sure whether you have body dysmorphia we have a Body Dysmorphia Test page which you can use for self assessment, or if you'd prefer to see if you have any BDD symptoms we also have a Body Dysmorphia Symptoms page.

It could be that you've already done all your research and are ready to recover from body dysmorphia. If this is the case we can help you. We work using Nationwide Online Consultations as well as Face To Face Consultations at our established Clinic in North Staffordshire. Thus if you live in Staffordshire we'd be delighted to work with you in person, otherwise we can work with you via Online Consultancy (webcam or telephone) if this is more convenient.
